Triticum 2018 Version Française Cerealis

All the versions in the “Cerealis” Collection have been distilled in an Armagnac alembic; a column that allows continuous distillation and favours the bubbling phenomenon: as the distillation vapours rise up the plates of the column, they pass through the brew and become loaded with aromas. This specificity highlights the cereal, in this case wheat malt for this version. For centuries, master blenders have used wheat to give a silky texture and lightness to the whisky they make.

Tasting Notes

Profile: Sweet, fresh and pastry-like.
Nose: Rustic, deep. After elegant notes of agave syrup, the nose becomes fresher with subtle hints of menthol, before moving on to greedier aromas.
Palate: Precise, voluptuous. The palate is greedy from the outset, with lemon meringue pie followed by tangy sweets. This sweetness is interspersed with woody, slightly aniseed flavours.
Finish: Fresh, wandering. The finish evolves towards lemonade and becomes increasingly noble with notes of undergrowth.
