Secale 2013
Distilled in a single pass in an Armagnac still, this cuvée comes from a special batch of casks made from 51% rye and 49% malted barley. While some of these casks were blended as part of the Cerealis range, one of them, in which only 45 litres remained, was bottled as a single cask. Matured in fine grain new French oak casks, this rye is a real collector’s item.
Tasting notes
Remarkable for its depth and originality, its range of aromas and flavours refuses to accept any consensus or compromise. Magnificently complex, it reveals an abundance of fruit and refined flavours of sandalwood and cocoa powder that conjure up distant memories.
