Building on the success of the Lyon breweries of the same name, Ninkasi began making whisky in 2015 following its establishment in the Lyon area in 2012 (on the site of a former dye house). 2019 marked the launch of Track 001, the distillery’s first whisky. Reduced to 46%, this first independent bottling from the distillery is a festival of flavours, retaining malt and smoke flavours.

Distilled in a Charentais still, Ninkasi 2016 is an intensely rich and fruity whisky, a real exotic fruit salad. The peat is very delicate, with a light smoke and toasted aromas.
