Founded in 1954 in Normandy as a calvados distillery, Le Breuil started producing its first whiskies in 2021. Convinced that the raw material is central to the flavour of the whisky, Château du Breuil stands out for its meticulous work on the barley, highlighting ancient varieties of grain including the mythical and highly sought-after Golden Promise. Matured in an ex-peated whisky cask, Le Breuil 2020 is a single cask limited to 270 bottles, offering a tasting experience that oscillates between a cereal, medicinal and delicately peated profile, reflecting a superb blend of peated Speyside and Islay styles.
