Galaad 2018
Created in 2016 by Stéphane Kerdodé, La Mine d’Or distillery relies on the know-how and experience of the Lancelot brewery. Initially equipped with a Stupfler column still, the distillery expanded in 2021 with a pair of pot stills. The 2018 cask of Galaad bottled for Version Française is the very first whisky of the distillery to be released on the market.
Tasting Notes
First aged in bourbon casks and then matured in new French oak, this version first gives off the abundantly fruity and herbaceous character of a mineral distillate with great dynamism. Then, as the tasting progresses, tasty exotic (pineapple), milky and honeyed notes highlight the rigorous selection of the casks at the famous Taransaud cooperage.
